The recent changes announced by the Federal Government has made it easier for foreign nationals to buy real estate in Australia.

Non citizens who are temporary residents in Australia, that is those that generally hold a temporary residents visa are not required to obtain Foreign Investment Review Board FIRN approval when purchasing

- new dwellings
- single blocks of land
- an existing / established dwelling if it is to be used as a principal place of residence.
